The cost of delivery will vary depending on the weight, volume and destination of the package. You will be notified of the cost after having placed the order and notified us of the delivery address.
Work on items begins on receipt of payment. Master carver and restorer Bruno Barbon completes all of the works with his own hand: your order will be placed in a queue and completed as soon as possible.
Deliveries are usually dispatched within 48 hours of completion of the work: we will contact you to inform you of the imminent dispatch and to ask for confirmation of the delivery address.
Delivery may be delayed or undergo changes owing to force majeure, traffic conditions and road conditions in general or owing to intervention of the authorities. In any case, Bruno Barbon shall not accept liability.
Bruno Barbon employs express services like that of DHL, SDA, TNT and UPS and the services of companies specialising in the transportation of works of art. The agent is selected based on the destination of the merchandise in order to offer you the best quality / price relationship at all times. Should you have your own courier of trust, please let us know when you place your order. Together with the delivery details, you will also be sent a tracking code, by means of which you can monito the various phases of you shipment.

Given that the items transported are very delicate, Bruno Barbon considers the packaging extremely important. The works are carefully packed with materials like bubble wrap, protective film and expanded polystyrene, ensuring they remain fully protected until they reach their destination. On request, it is possible to take out an insurance policy for any damage suffered during transportation or handling. Please contact us.
In order to ensure that the order arrives safely, please indicate the correct delivery address and ensure that someone will be present to receive the package, if necessary specifying preferred delivery hours.
Upon receiving the merchandise, please check that:
- The same number of packages are indicated on the delivery note as those actually delivered.
- The package is intact and undamaged. Although the works are packaged with the utmost care, they may suffer damage during transportation. Should you receive a package that is not intact or that is damaged or shows evident signs of tampering (open package, etc.), you must notify the courier that delivers the package immediately and sign the delivery note adding the words “subject to approval” or “merchandise with visibly damaged packaging”. This allows you to protect yourself should you find any kind of fault after having opened the package. Should you find any damage, please indicate this immediately by faxing the local office of the courier and copying the notification to Bruno Barbon by email at email@example.com or by fax on +39 02 22220288.
Should the merchandise order have to be delivered outside of Italy, they may be subject to duty and import tax. Any additional costs for customs clearance will be at your expense. Bruno Barbon has no control over such costs and cannot predict the amount. Customs policies vary considerably from country to country and you should therefore contact the local customs office for further information.
